Sadly Summer is leaving us for another year, however this does mean we don’t have to put up with our social media feeds being filled up with ‘holiday braggers’
Define ‘Holiday Braggers’ – friend on Facebook posting photos in the morning from their balcony overlooking the hotel pool with a comment like ‘Not a bad place to wake up’. Other elements include, photos of them on a boat, drinking a ridiculous cocktail, a plate of food and drink at midday whilst you are sat in the office with rain trickling down the window…and so on.
Unfortunately, this year, I was a ‘holiday bragger’. Yes two weeks in Mallorca, I could’t help myself- every drink, food, sunset..I was there …posting away.
As summer is leaving I couldn’t leave without rounding off my top holiday brags:
1.GIN! GIN! GIN!...Best G& Ts are served here. You don’t get a glass, you get a fish bowl, the garnish is always on point and the waiter will come and free pour the bottle in front of your eyes. None of this tight London, depressing pub glasses with half melted ice..no this is how gin is done. I miss it.
2. Food
Port d’Andratx is holiday heaven. It’s a long Spanish port filled with  delicious restaurants and bars
It also has a buzzing fish market that opens at 4pm when all the fishing boats come in, very much worth a visit. We ended up leaving with bags filled with fish that we’d BBQ later at the villa.
3. Restaurants
Some of the best restaurants I’ve been to. Best ones were in Port Adriano; a super steak house, delicious paellas and lush cocktail bars.
All of them over look the harbour filled with boats that James Bond’s villains would own.
My top  place was Sumailla at Port d’Andratx , a new restaurant over looking the sea, serving sushi and other sea food and fresh vegetable dishes. If you holiday near here you need to try it.
4. Boat Trip
A family live on this boat and allow tourists to hire it for Air B &B or a day boat trips. We had a brilliant day, lying on hammocks jumping into sea. I think about this family every time I stuff myself onto a sweaty tube.
5.Evening life…
We drove through Magaluf, thought about it..and drove straight out.
No our night life went like this:
Gin leading to espresso martinis….
which led to Pina-coladas
which led to dancing.
which led to trying to get more gin …
Ok..I’ll stop bragging now…till next year
Side note: I am currently raising money for the RNLI (Royal National Lifeboat Institution) by only drinking H20 for 10 days! All donations go towards those volunteers who keep us safe at sea every year  in the UK.  It’s a great cause Any support will be truly appreciatedÂ
