Our Journey began, Chris was in his sunglasses he was swinging the Jeeps keys about with some weird swagger,he steps into the car thinking the world of himself.
“Thanks mum for letting me borrow your jeep”
“You’re welcome my sweetheart!”
and we drove off into the Australian sun
We were on our way to the Great Barrier Reef, one of the natural wonders of the world but more importantly the home to my Pixar hero, Nemo. Â After driving for two hours up Bruce Highway (yes..that’s is what it’s called)
we stopped off at Noosa…a glorious, boutique surfers town.
We found a pretty little lunch spot which served oysters and frose.
Yes frose* (*frozen rose) until this day I was a frose virgin but now there is no going back. I’m going to say this now Frose is summer 2017.
“I am so excited to see Nemo!!” I said whilst I decapitated a prawn
I wasn’t driving so four frose down, I could happily stay there all day. However we still had a long journey ahead of us so off set, in his Mum’s Jeep.
(after a few drinks this was hilarious)
Three hours later it was dark and we had found our Motel for the night in a place called Bunderburg, it was like we were Thelma and Louise
After a wake up call from Chris’ mum at six the next morning we arrived at our boat for the day.
“Did you take your sickness pills?” A tourist asked us
“what nahh……how bad can this be?”
After a bit of time of bouncing up and down in the waves, I was instantly regretting the oysters from yesterdays lunch.
Anyway we finally got to Lady Musgrave’s
…It was David Attenborough heaven.
Then finally it was time to look for Nemo.
We saw turtles, an octopus and every other kind of fish but no sign of our little orange friend.
but just as I was about to give up…
Four hour drive, one motel, two and half hour boat journey, four fabulous froses, one fruits de mer and then….I found Nemo.
